Elder Austin Whiting

Okay so to start out we actually didn't flood the church but I had to make my email sound more interesting. But yeah the church was actually flooded this week so I'll explain more on that. Also why do we spell "flood" with 2 o'? I'm just thinking about this and it looks so weird to me.......Russian is messing with my mind. Okay so it was a pretty normal week so I don't have much to report but I have a few interesting things that happened this week and also some cutural things that I think are funny. I accidentally lost my companion last P-day hahah. We got onto the most crammed trolleybus ever. (when you think they can't fit any more people someone will shove their way in). And so we were headed home and I could've sworn there were more stops but there wasn't and so my companion got off and I didn't. So I got off on the next stop and walked back by myself(which normally would sound really dumb but being a missionary it felt so weird...

2nd Week in Moldova Hey hey hey everyone welcome to the next update of Elder Whiting. It's been another wild one here in Chisinau and so I'll get right to it. So first of all to explain sidewalks, so apparently sidewalks here are free game to park?? It's whack but it's so funny. There's like so parking here so everyone just parks and drives on the sidewalks all of the time. Another funny thing I learned. In Russian there is no difference between a dove and a pigeon. Like it's the same word. And in the bible it talks about how the holy ghost descended in the form of a dove so basically what I'm getting to is everyone thinks that pigeons here are like sacred animals so they're everywhere. And nobody messes with them so the pigeons here will just walk right by you. Basically we still don't really have any investigators so we spent most of our time contacting. We found this one guy and we taught him a lesson this week. MY FIRST LESSON WO...

1st Week in Moldova Ohhhhhhhh boy. Oh boy I can't even describe to you how wild this week has been. This has by far been the most life changing, crazy, difficult, fun, amazing, confusing and emphasis again on craziest week of my life. Let's take this to the beginning Okay so I don't even really remember the MTC anymore lol I feel like I've been here for a month. Not really but yeah basically I said goodbye to my best buddies and it was all bittersweet. We left at  4:45  in the morning and I think that was actually the most emotional I've gotten about being away from home. I was tearing up a little bit as we were passing the exit with the innout because ya know that's my hometown. So we got to the airport and I saw the most beautiful thing in the world. CAFE RIO. Oh man was that amazing after MTC food haha. I called the fam back home and we hopped on a plane to minnesota and I slepted the whole time. We landed in Minnesota and had a 6 hour layover there....
