The 1st transfer is officially over! I am now halfway through training and things are just swell here in Chisinau.
So as I mentioned last email we planned on taking a lil trip to Romania for a day and so yeah we were in Romania for all of last Tuesday. It was so fun and I learned a whole lot. I'll go over our trip.
Romania Trip:
We woke up at like 2:30 to catch a plane to Romania and so we had a short, beautiful flight over to Bucharest. (the sky was so pretty). We got there and the APs picked us up. We then went to the Mission office where we did a little bit of training which was super cool. I'll talk about it a little bit more later.
We then drove around the city and ate at this super cool lil side resturant called Luca's and it was so good. They had these lil hot dog things and stuffed pretzels and it was fantastic. We then visited the People's Palace which is the 2nd largest building in the world and it was decently sized, I've seen bigger.
We then went to the Mission home and ate dinner with the new Russian elder that came in, Elder Walch! We then got to travel by home by none other than my favorite thing in the world...... THE SOVIET UNION HOGWARTS EXPRESS. The suhe is my favorite mode of transportation ever. We had a guy in our compartment with us and he was from the UK. He was the sickest guy ever and we just talked to him forever. He was a professional Rugby player for the UK and this guy is a rig(exceedingly large in stature). He basically just travels the world and tries to get involved in as many cultures as possible and he was just telling us all these crazy stories from around the world. He also hadn't watched tv in 25 years. I had mad respect for the guy. We taught him a little about the book of mormon but he wasn't very interested. Super glad we got to meet him.
It's the end of transfers and so everything is getting switched up. End of transfers is crazy and everyone is so anxious to see where their going. For Russians it's not as exciting because there's only 2 areas we can serve in but it's still wild. We are losing 2 Romanian Elders, 1 Romanian sister and we gained 2 new russians. Elder Kramer(he was AP but he's back in the field) and Elder Walch. We have a stacked bunch of missionaries here in Chisinau and we're going to kill it this next transfer.
So for my spiritual thought I actually wanted to talk about rejection. We watched this ted talk in Romania that really changed my perspective on things and I can't really explain it like he does so look it up! It's amazing. It's called "100 days of rejection." It's so good and he talks about how we can turn rejection into a positive thing. Its also really funny so look it up right now. Serious.
I love you all so much and I know I forgot some things but it's okay just have a great week and know that I'll be back next week so don't worry.
