Okay so this has been the craziest week of my life and so much happened this week so I'll try to explain it the best I can.

Okay so it was just a normal week starting off and little naiive elder whiting was just preparing english when we get a call from President saying that an Elder from Balti went home bc of medical reasons and now you (elder whiting) have to go to Balti so after english pack your bags. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) okay so I'm like wtheck it's still 3 weeks until the transfer that's wildin. Guess who my new companion is? The one and only Aussie, Elder Dumbrell. You already know the MTC boiz are back at it. 

Other cool thing is they said "hey you now have a car and you are doing to drive" so yeah we watched the missionary driving videos which is probably one of my favorite things ever lol if you've seen them then you'll understand (look at me conducting my car). So now I'm a big boy driving a car in a different city. 

So Balti. First of all it's pronouced like "Beltz" and it's way different than Chisinau. It's more north and a lot smaller. There's only 4 elders total and that's it. The branch is super small but they're all really tight and they're like a crazy little family. Also another cool thing is that the senior couple left and so we took their old apartment and its SO NICE. We're basically just chilling in a hotel and the Alemans left a bunch of food(homies) so it's been super cool. 

Now for the news that you've all been waiting for. Yes my mission is getting merged.... We will be merged with the Kiev mission!!!!!! Well, Moldova will be merged with Kiev and Romania will be merged with Hungary. So the rough news is that we will have to say goodbye to President and Sister Hettinger which I'm really bummed about because they've been amazing. But on the bright news I will have a chance to serve in Ukraine!!! I'm so excited. We will also have a temple in our Mission!!! This is some pretty big news for us here in Moldova. We went from only being able to serve in 2 areas to now serving in multiple so that will be exciting. It has it's prons and cons but ultimately I know that this is the the Lord's work and that this is what's meant to be. This will happen around July 1st.

Some interesting things:
-To explain my title we've been saying "yeah babe" a lot and I'm not really sure why.
-We been listening to an unhealthy amount of efy music which I believe is any amount and I swear if I hear "we're just people" again I'm going to die. But bc I'm on a mission some of these songs actually sound pretty good, not sure what's happening to me.
-I've been eating vegemite every day so I have been fully converted to the Australian culture now I guess.
-We've had a bunch of car problems so we had to change one of our tires yesterday. I just realised that maybe my last car wasn't prone to flat tires but it was my bad luck. (Rip flat albert)
-I haven't actually driven yet but we'll get there(actually really nervous/excited about it)
-I've been trying to fit into the new atmotsphere in Balti and it's been hard but I'm really excited for the change.
-Elder Dumbrell got roasted the other night by a babooshka the other night and she said that he needed to be more like me hahaha +5 to pride

I'm super grateful for this change and this new opportunity that I have on my mission. I love these people and I can't wait to continue to serve them. Love you all!

Hey everyone  Oh man it's been a fun week. Also we contacted pretty much all day every day but for some reason it was really fun? Also Elder Day got wrecked with a stomach bug and we've started to get colds but we've still been going out and getting work done.  We actually had people come to church this sunday! So that was sweet. Church is nice. I got to translate @ church and man my translating is so trash haha. It's really fun though. Something cool that happened is we prayed really hard to find a less-active member one day and we went out to some addresses to find them and on our way we stopped a guy and tried to talk to him and he was like "oh yeah i actually used to go to your church" and then we found out more and it turns out he was baptized a while ago and even had the priesthood at some point so that was so cool and we invited him to come back to church. Well I now have officially less than a month left on a mission so that's weird. I would say I have a healthy amount of trunkiness. But you better believe that I'm still grinding every day.  It's been a hype week. I'll just get into the interesting things: -My companion had interviews this past week and while we were waiting at President's house Sister Kumferman pulls out ticket to ride and we had a good old bonding time. The Kumfermans are literally the best and I'm so sad that I didn't have an interview with him this time around. I love them so much. -That night was crazy and we ended up joining a Gypsy caravan. We were walking down a creepy alleyway and next thing we know we're surrounded by gypsies and they're speaking their weird gypsy tongue. We quickly escaped and went across some railroad tracks but there was a very long train on the tracks that was stopped and so we were like "dang" and so we climbed underneath the train to ge...

2 Countries 2 Missions 2 Mission Presidents 3 Areas 3 Languages 9 Companions Hundreds of lessons taught Hundreds of hours of contacting 2 Years As I'm writing this it still doesn't feel totally real and so it's a really strange feeling coming to the end. This is the last time I'll be sending an email as I'm going home next week.  My mission really has been the best 2 years. But it really wasn't anything that I had expected earlier.
