Hey guys
How are you? I'm very tired but at the same time I can still do things thank you for asking. It's been a pretty crazy weeks with some ups and downs. Not sure where to begin but I'll try.
So we taught English this week and we haven't had very many people come until an entire harri crishna family showed up so that's been fun. Probably one of the funniest moments where I couldn't laugh was when I was asking people what their favorite animals are and one boy said "my favorite animal is a cow because of it's delicious meat." he said it right in front of a family that is super vegetarian. I was dying.
The other night there was a guy on the trolleybus who probably took a lot of drugs because he couldn't stop moving and he was saying really weird things. At one point he turned to me and started hitting his head against the window while saying (in english) "I'm a fly get it? because they don't see the window haha" I about lost it there too. I think the weirdest thing was that I realized that this is a normal thing for me now. Love it.
Okay so Sunday was pretty eventful. We set up a lesson with this guy at a public building where christians can get together and talk about scriptures and stuff. Great idea right? well halfway through our lesson with this guy a bunch of his buddies come into the room and then we realized it was an ambush and they started to bible bash like crazy.(insert admiral akbar "it's a trap") I hate bible bashing. And plus they didn't even want to hear a thing that we said. They also couldn't even agree with each other half the time? Frusterating. We bore testimony at the end though and it was cool because I it was at that moment where I felt peace and I knew that what I was saying was true.
After that sad lesson we were on the trolleybus and there was a guy that started talking to us in Romanian. We told him we only spoke russian or english but he continued talk to us in Romanian and somehow we were able to hold a small conversation where he wanted to know where our church was and how many people there were. After talking for a little he went silent and pulled out his phone and next thing we know he's showing us pictures OF HIS BAPTISM IN ITALY. We were like BOI WE NEED YOUR NUMBER. So after a few minutes of trying to translate numbers from romanian to russian we were able to get his number and we gave his number to the Romanian missionaries. Miracles :')))
We also got to do service this week for a member and they fed us the best food ever. Also unlimited cherries. Cherries on cherries on cherries. Moldova is great.
I want to invite you all to put down your phones occationally this week, really take a look around and just take a look at all of the blessings that God has given us. We live in a beautiful world with the ability to CHOOSE and when we use this ability to follow Christ we can feel so much peace in our lives and we can truly be happy during those hard times. The scripture I have on my planner this transfer is D&C 19:23
Learn of me, and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me.
I know that this is true and that there really is Peace in Christ. Love ya!
