Hey hey
how's everyone doing? send me updates pls.
but it's been a pretty normal week.
My companion got a mad flu for the first few days of the week so we spent most of the day inside cleaning. It's funny because he got a flu shot and I didn't and yet the tables turned quite nicely. S/O to my immune system. He got sick right after he drank ice in his soda for the first time in a while so he (jokingly) blames in on that. (it's a weird european superstition thing that you'll get sick from ice in your drink). I haven't had ice in my drink since ...
Also he ate tuna right before he recovered so just know that if you ever get sick that you can eat tuna and it might help. Also this week I found sALSA IN OUR LITTLE STORE. So I ate tuna with ritz crackers and salsa with tortilla chips. I'm now just a little bit trunky. Super cool though because I haven't eaten them in forever.
The weather has been pretty warm recently so we haven't had much snow. Just tons and tons of ice. We have successfully turned into 5 year olds and we literally slide everywhere we go haha it's so fun actually.
I recently have been really trying to focus on contacting people on trolleybuses because 1) it's a big stuggle for me 2) it's super awkward 3) nobody here wants to look at strangers much less talk to them and so it's been something I really am trying to get better at but for the past couple weeks I've talked to someone on almost every single trolleybus ride. And it's been actually really cool because I've has way better conversations than I had before and it helps me to grow out of my comfort zone. I think the mission is one big awkward experience to help you completely not care what other people think about you and to just go for it.
Other than that it's been the usual. I love Christmas and I love my fam.
Here's a great verse to read and ponderize---> 3 Nephi 22:10-11
For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted! Behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
God is always with us and for us. That I can say with certainty.
