Well I now have officially less than a month left on a mission so that's weird. I would say I have a healthy amount of trunkiness. But you better believe that I'm still grinding every day.
It's been a hype week. I'll just get into the interesting things:
-My companion had interviews this past week and while we were waiting at President's house Sister Kumferman pulls out ticket to ride and we had a good old bonding time. The Kumfermans are literally the best and I'm so sad that I didn't have an interview with him this time around. I love them so much.
-That night was crazy and we ended up joining a Gypsy caravan. We were walking down a creepy alleyway and next thing we know we're surrounded by gypsies and they're speaking their weird gypsy tongue. We quickly escaped and went across some railroad tracks but there was a very long train on the tracks that was stopped and so we were like "dang" and so we climbed underneath the train to get home on time and like a minute later the train started to move. Cool.
-On thursday we went to the temple because a lot of members from Moldova came to go to the temple this week. One of the coolest things is that there is a member there who is in a wheelchair and she has never been able to go to the temple even though she's been a member for 18 years. So the missionaries wanted to support her and we all went in to do a session with her. But we ended up going too early and so we did 2 sessions in a row and that was really fun. It was a super spiritual moment, definitely one of the most spiritual moments of my life.
-Friday was also fun we had my final zone conference and it was SO SWEET. President went into super deep doctrine of the plan of salvation and it was so cool. I also gave my final testimony and I definitely cried it was so bittersweet.
-On our way back from zone conference some sisters had a package from home with fruity dyno bites in them and elder day was like "dang you're so lucky fruity dyno bites are the best" and she was like "here take them" and we were like "no we can't" but then she forced them upon us and now we are the happiest people in the world.
-Saturday and Sunday were bittersweet and we had some ups and downs but nothing too special. We met with people and had a cool contacting session with the sisters where we wrote on a whiteboard "what makes you happy?" and then walked around and talked to people and it went super well actually! It's been a really good time.
-We played gatorball this morning with a lot of Elders and it was Elder McGhie's last time. So that's wild.
Other than that it's been a good time. We find out transfers this week but everything should stay pretty much the same for us we'll probably just get a third elder to come serve with us. I'll go home 3 weeks into the transfer.
Here's a quote that we heard at zone conference this last week :
"Do or do not. There is no try."
pretty inspiring.
Love you all!
